Will the current VISA debit rewards points automatically transfer to the new Mastercard debit?
Yes. While the points are being transferred, the CU Rewards site will be unavailable. New cards may need to be registered.

Will the old Visa debit work till the new Mastercard debit is activated?
The current VISA debit card will work for 14 days after the member receives and activates their new Mastercard debit.

Can I use my new Mastercard through Digital Wallet?
Yes. You will need to input your new Mastercard debit into your Digital Wallet first. This is available on either Android, Apple, Samsung, FitBit, or Garmin devices. Download the app that corresponds with your device.

Will the new Mastercard debit automatically update in the card app and digital wallet?
No, the member will need to delete the old VISA debit and add the new Mastercard debit in both the card app and digital wallet.

Are card numbers going to be different than what they have now?
Yes, both VISA and Mastercard have very specific requirements for card numbers. The first digit for Mastercard is 5, the first digit for VISA is 4.

Will the member need to notify everyone they pay with their current Visa debit?
Yes, any preauthorized debits and/or automatic payments will need to be updated with the new Mastercard debit information. Current VISA debit should be deleted.

Will merchants charge a fee for using Mastercard?
State laws vary regarding fees for card payments. Tennessee state law does not prohibit a merchant or retailer from imposing a fee or requiring a minimum purchase amount to use a card. It is possible for a fee to be applied to a transaction using any plastic card; however, it is more common to not see a fee, and you must be informed if a fee applies.

What card image will rewards members receive if a card image is not selected?
Orange checkerboard – Orange skyline

How long will members have to activate their new cards?
Members will have 14 days from the time they receive their cards to activate their new cards.

Will PINs need to be created?
Yes. During the activation process the member will hear the message “Please remain on the line to select or change your PIN number after your card has been activated.” This is where you create and set your new pin.

Can the same PIN be used from the old card?
Yes. You may use your old pin for the new card.

Can Mastercard be used at the same merchants where VISA is used?
Yes. Mastercard can be used at the same merchants or locations as VISA.

Where can I find my Rewards points?
Rewards points can be seen in two places. Points can be seen and exchanged in the www.curewards.com website. Points can also be seen in the tnConnect card app.

What ATMs are surcharge free?
ATMs in the MoneyPass network will continue to be free. The COOP ATM network has been added also. COOP is a nationwide surcharge-free ATM. To find ATM locations, visit https://co-opcreditunions.org/locator/.

Can the Mastercard debit card be used at Costco?
Yes, but a PIN maybe required to complete the purchase. Only VISA credit cards are accepted.
