With just an email address or U.S. mobile phone number, members can send money to people they trust, regardless of where they bank. This service can be found on the Transfer and Pay screen within the tnConnect mobile app. Learn more here.

Credit Sense

Credit Sense

Credit Sense is a financial education tool which offers members access to their credit score, full credit report, credit monitoring, and money saving opportunities. The newest feature, Credit Simulator, allows you to review possible financial scenarios and how they may impact your credit score. All of this is at no cost to the member and can be found in Online Banking in the Member Services tab.

Mobile Deposit

Save time and avoid a trip to the Credit Union when all you need to do is deposit a check. Instead, you can simply deposit checks directly into your account through your mobile device.

To get started:

  1. Log into mobile App through your Apple or Android device.
  2. Tap Deposit and follow the process.

  • To Make Deposits
    1. Open TNConnect Credit Union’s Mobile App
    2. Endorse the back of the check as “For mobile deposit at TNConnect” and your signature. Checking the checkbox in the endorse area for mobile deposit is not acceptable.
    3. Tap Deposit
    4. Select the Deposit a check
    5. Select account to deposit the funds
    6. Enter the amount of the check
    7. Take a photo of the front and back of the check
    8. Verify Deposit Info
    9. Tap Make Deposit
    10. Write the date under the endorsement on the back of the check for your later identification of the date you deposited the check.
    11. Securely store your check for 30 days after deposit.
    12. Once approved, the check will be deposited by 8 PM of that business day.  Please note holds may apply.
  • Check Image Tips
    1. Take the photo against a background with a strong contrast between the check and the surrounding area
    2. Position the camera above the check so there is no angle
    3. Move any objects that show up in the picture away from the check
    4. Make sure the check is visible, contains all four corners, is well lit and in focus
    5. The check must contain a readable; check number, payee name and endorsement
    6. The check must contain a readable character (numeric) amount of the check and legal amount of the check
    7. The check must be drawn on an institution located within the United States
  • Check Safekeeping, Retention and Destruction:
    1. Mobile Deposit users are required to retain the original check for 30 days after the deposit has been transmitted to the credit union.
    2. This provides sufficient time for research in case there is an issue with the image quality or if the original item is required for any other reason
    3. The paper check should be stored in a secure place with “Mobile Deposit, DATE (where DATE is the full date you deposited the check by Mobile Deposit)
    4. Mobile Deposit users are required to securely and irretrievably destroy the original paper check after 30 days.
    5. Do not leave deposited checks lying around, do not put deposited checks in trash or recycle containers, unless they have been shredded first.
  • Funds Availability
    1. For Interest and Digital checking funds from your deposit generally will be available to you on the same or next business day.
    2. Free, Liberty and Business checking receive a three (3) business day hold.
    3. TNConnect reserves the right to place extended holds on checks as appropriate through the credit union’s Funds Availability Policy.
