COVID-19 UPDATE: tnConnect’s top priority is the health and safety of our members and our staff. It is with this in mind that we transition to service via the drive thru or by appointment during their normal business hours starting Monday, March 23, 2020. Details of what we are doing to navigate this unprecedented situation can be found on our COVID-19 response page. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 865-688-2424 or at email@example.com.
Each year TNConnect is proud to give back to the community in a variety of ways. As a non-profit cooperative, we understand the importance of being a responsible member of our community.
Each year TNConnect is proud to present a $1000.00 scholarship to an area high school student to help them jumpstart their educational future. Applicants must be a member of the credit union with a checking account and debit card and are evaluated on their activities inside and outside of the classroom. TNConnect is proud to help its members get a head start on their education.
We partner with this non-profit organization to display Tennessee foster children who need permanent homes. This display can be found in our lobby, or you can visit www.heartgalleryoftn.com to learn more.
Coats for the Cold
Each year TNConnect serves as a collection point for Knox Area Rescue Ministries Coats for the Cold during the holiday season.
Cell Phones for Soldiers
TNConnect is proud to participate in Cell Phones for Soldiers, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing deployed and returning troops cost-free methods to communicate with family while serving in the United States military. From the recycling of used mobile phones and cash donations, the organization has raised more than $7 million, collected more than 8.3 million cell phones and provided troops overseas with more than 114 million minutes of free talk time. For more information please visit www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com.
Second Harvest Backpack Program
Since 2008, TNConnect has participated in the Second Harvest Backpack Program. The Back Pack program allows children to leave each Friday from school with eight nutritious items to eat over the weekend. The goal of the program is that no child goes hungry over the weekend.
Seymour Intermediate Fit Club
Since 2010 TNConnect has been a sponsor of the Seymour Intermediate Fit Club. Each year the students of Seymour Intermediate go through a number of fitness tests in gym class. Those that pass each test, win a Fit Club T-shirt as a way to promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
